Grand rounds are considered one of the main methods of teaching over many years especially in large hospitals and medical institutions. In these large taeching institiutions grand rounds have been considered as honored tradition.  Altman LK. ( 2006 ) claimed that “Socratic dialogue [has given way] to PowerPoint presentation” and “grand rounds are not so grand anymore. some another literatures also agreed with this view about decline the relevance of grand rounds. Many reasons has negatively impact on the attendance rate of grand rounds, of these the timing job plan of many doctors and busy unforseen circumstances arise during routine work. In addition the benefit from garnd round itself is not worth all the time it takes.

Another method of teaching in medicine is the clinical round, which seems very suitable for busy hospital words especially with shortage of medical staff many hospital nowadays are suffering.

Clinical teaching in the existance of patients called ( clinical round ), provide a very effective and unique pattern to include medical knowledge and clinical skills together to help patients care directly. Thia technique in medical education additionally improve communication skills , history taking , clinical skills , and enhance profesional attitude of doctors and healthcare staff. By adoption of clinical rounds , medical teaching has been a real and applied medicine. In such situations, learners can listen , watch and practioce clinical skills.  ( La Combe MA 1997 ) .

TO emphasize more , clinical teaching round is one method for medical education which doctors and students interact with real patients , use different clinical skills and challenges and make many different decisionsthese decions are patient-centered approach which many learners prefer as linked to their future profesionalism.

Gonzalo et al ,( 2013 ) have documented 6 benefits for clinical rounds

1- students skills development.

2-observation and receiving feedback

3-role modeling

4- training team forming

5- improving patient care

6- promoting patient centered culture

the outcome of this method is much more better in clinical experience which is the desirable way for medical education, tehy solve the patient problems with other collegue s and seniors, and this is more appropriate training method for them.

In addition, clinical departmental leads  should set up  policies that encourage  scheduling of departmental  activities at thediffrent time as grand rounds to encourage medical staff to attend.

Lecture-based grand rounds  have been a popular method  of education. during attendance beside lunch time and eating it is a chance for physicians from different departments to meet and know each others and discuss even some clinical cases. Lectures are a practical,  easy, and effecient way of disseminating information.   Tools and teaching styles  should be adopted to stimulate learners and make grand rounds more  interactive. Microburst teaching and learning is a suggested method  based on adult learning theory;  to enhance the learning process.  ( Vaughn L et al 2001 )
