Ecological approach to preventing pandemic policy measures
Qian X ET AL (2020) highlighted , three necessary steps to be taken once an infectious disease outbreaks in certain regions, including controlling infectious sources, blocking the transmission routes, and protecting the susceptive population. He mentioned that COVID-19 is spreading so fast and it is difficult to control effectively if only taking the normal or general countermeasures . Therefore, the Chinese government has quickly taken individual and social actions to contain its transmission inside China, including isolating and treatment of cases early, persuading people to stay at home, and promoting social distancing measures commensurate with the risk, etc., based on the current knowledge about epidemiological features and transmission patterns of COVID-19.
