PLAB student is different
Our website www.license-medical will come through Plab student achievement.
Plab test is for doctors who have trained abroad and wish to run-through medicine in the United Kingdom. Graduates in medicine from foreign institutions are expected to sit for a PLAB test to establish if they have the necessary skills and knowledge needed to work in the medical field before being offered the job. A PLAB student is different as he qualifies in all the necessary standards hence help raise the medicine standards and is also assessed in accordance to the standards required.
Plab student must have primary medical qualifications as it is the basic requirement for being enrolled in any institution and also must have taken the IELTS modules and atleast attained a minimum of 7 points in all of the 4 language skills and IELTS certificate should be valid by the time one sits for PLAB part 1. A PLAB student is given a chance to sit for part 1 of the test as many times as he please and part 2 should be within three years from when part 1 was passed or else if you fail one has to resist part 1 and 2.
Plab student is tested on things expected from a doctor at that moment in his career which include the professional behaviours and values which are necessary for delivery of excellent medical care and with the right competence. It is important as what is tested is evaluated and updated so as it reflects on the day to day real life medical practice so the medical practitioner is well prepared to help patients in the current medical setting.
Plab student is also given early preparation and also given a chance to interact with the current medical setting as part 2 of the test tests on the practical and objective structured clinical examinations which helps in testing the competence in the world of work which is the most important part of a doctors training as he is expected to practice what he has learned in his training. Here a student is expected to apply knowledge in caring for patients rather than reciting the facts.
